About Mercury Magazine

Mercury Magazine is a space dedicated to astrology, numerology, and spiritual living. It was founded as a place for curious minds who want to go deeper than daily horoscopes and truly understand their birth chart, planetary transits, zodiac dynamics, and the symbolism of numbers.

I’m Elsa Jóhannsdóttir, founder of Mercury Magazine, a self-taught astrologer and writer born in Reykjavík, Iceland. My journey into astrology began as personal study and long nights spent analyzing charts, trying to understand aspects, patterns, and timing cycles. Over time, that private fascination grew into years of research, writing, and working with hundreds of charts, observing how astrology unfolds in real life.

Mercury Magazine developed from that process. Here you’ll find in-depth articles on natal charts, planetary movements, retrogrades, astrological aspects, life path numbers, and recurring life themes, all grounded in hands-on experience and careful observation.

To me, astrology is both a symbolic language and a structured system. It evolves. Always! The more charts you study, the more connections begin to reveal themselves. That ongoing discovery is what continues to inspire my work.

If you’re interested in how transits activate your chart, how aspects shape personality, or how numbers mirror life cycles, you’ll feel at home here.

Stay awhile. Explore. And if you have a question or something you’re curious about, feel free to reach out. I’d love to hear from you.
